It has a pretend stretchy part at the top that barely stretches. Does no favors. I have a 21in calf at its widest, for reference, and it was too small by about 6 inches. I also noticed that it seemed smaller around the ankle area which I almost never have an issue with for any kind of boot, I just have fat calves. I also noted that the zipper was weirdly stiff and difficult to zip even for the half of the boot that did close. Over all im sure this is a fine boot for non wide calf individuals, and I was pleased to note the larger shoe size was an accurate fit. I cannot speak to the comfort or durability because I had to return them.
